Happy new year! Penumbra Literary is excited to announce the arrival of our new intern, Melanie Sherman. Melanie graduated from Ithaca College in 2012 with degrees in Writing and English. While in college, Melanie studied abroad at the University of Sydney. In her free time, Melanie loves to read and write her own fiction.
Some of her favorite novels include Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk, The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides, On the Road by Jack Kerouac, and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. She is working closely with Jennifer, learning more about the literary world, and getting involved with this wonderful company.
